Mark your calendars for an event you won’t want to miss – our inaugural Dancing Classrooms Spring Fling Swing Thing!
Join us on Sunday, May 5th, from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at National Dance Institute’s headquarters, the Jacques d’Amboise Center for Learning & the Arts (located at 217 West 147th Street in Central Harlem) for an afternoon of swinging fun.
As you may know, swing dancing is a fundamental part of the curriculum we teach in our 4th-8th grade social dance residencies. It’s not just about learning steps; it’s about connecting with others, building confidence, and experiencing the joy of movement together.
We wanted to provide our community members with the opportunity to feel connected to what we’re teaching in our programs, and what better way to do that than by hosting an event centered around swing dancing? By bringing the spirit of swing to our Spring Fling, we hope to give everyone a taste of the magic that happens in our classrooms every day.
We will start the afternoon with a special performance by Project Connect, followed by an opportunity for everyone to hit the dance floor. This event promises entertainment for all ages, so be sure to bring your family and friends along.
From kid-friendly activities and delicious food to refreshing beverages for adults, there will be something for everyone to enjoy!
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our hosts at National Dance Institute for graciously hosting us for this special occasion.
